Politics and Performance (Due 10/31)

Your assignment is as follows: Identify a political cause or issue (social, environmental, etc.) that you believe in and/or are passionate about. Devise an artistic action or activity to protest/advocate/raise awareness about your cause. Your written response should include:

1. Describe in detail the political issue, why it is relevant, and why you are passionate about this subject.

2. Describe the artistic activity/action/event. Where is it? What does the activity look like? Who is involved? Why employ this strategy for political action? Discuss in detail at least three of the artistic choices that you've made and how those choices are relevant to the issue and strategy that you've chosen.

Assignment should be a minimum of 350 words. As always, proofed, paginated, printed, stapled. Due at the start of class next week, 10/31.
